What is “The Idea Lab”?
The H.G. Fenton Company Rapid Prototyping Lab, The Idea Lab, Is a lab that is connected to the ZIP Launchpad which is a program that helps students, staff, faculty, and researchers launch a startup from their early stage idea at San Diego State University.
The Idea Lab is the ZIP Launchpad’s lab that creates rapid prototypes for the entrepreneurs in the program. They hire a team of paid engineers and designers to work in the lab. (That’s me!)
Branding Process
Part of my responsibilities as a hired graphic designer at The Idea Lab was to give the lab a rebrand.
Deliverables included a comprehensive branding system and brand guide (Logo, color palette, typography, icons), a sticker, presentation template, and a T shirt design.
